Facilities -

We have a large collection of books permanently located in the Butte County library, with an additional number (almost unlimited) available for loan to Gridley cardholders through north state interloan facilities. If a book is not available through the North State Cooperative Library System they will make every effort to locate the book in the state of California or elsewhere in the world--and deliver it to you in Gridley! Internet access to the card catalogs of Gridley and Butte County libraries is available from any computer by clicking on the following: Butte County Library and then filling-in the box labeled "Search the Library Catalog" in the upper right-hand corner.

To locate "northstate books" you may ask the librarian at the desk. The websites of other Friends of the Library groups for branch libraries in Butte County can be accessed through the County website. Internet access for library users is provided on computers in the library.

The Gridley Friends of the Library have purchased several computers and several more have been made available by the Butte County Library and by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Computers provided by Friends of the Library were funded with contributions from YOU and with a grant from InFoPeople Project

The Nora Wiley conference room in the Gridley library is available for meetings of local groups. Conference room facilities include kitchenette, VCR and television--very comfortable for non-profit groups of 5 to 50 persons.

Although small in size our library gives its users many of the facilities only available to patrons of larger libraries--
